China's XJY Delivers Containerized Industrial Ultrafiltration Water Treatment Equipment to Phuket
On May 20, 2025, two 25m³/h containerized ultrafiltration Water Treatment equipment independently developed by China XJY set sail from Nansha Port and were sent to Phuket, Thailand. The equipment will alleviate the pressure of fresh water demand during the local tourist peak season. This delivery also marks that China's environmental protection equipment technology has been internationally recognized and provides innovative solutions for the sustainable use of water resources in Southeast Asia.

Create seafood products, empowered by XJY ultrafiltration water treatment technology
At the end of 2024, China's XJY stood out in the international bidding and customized 2 25m³ containerized ultrafiltration water treatment equipment for Thailand. It has become a "star product" with its advanced technology and innovative design. Officials from the Thai Ministry of Natural Resources praised it as a magic box that can "make water" and will revolutionize the resource management model of tropical islands.
The equipment adopts a modular design, tightly integrating core components such as the pretreatment system, ultrafiltration membrane components, and control system, with the advantages of small footprint and convenient installation and commissioning. It can produce 600 tons of drinking water that meets WHO standards every day, which can meet the daily water needs of 5,000 people. Moreover, the equipment can directly use seawater, brackish water or polluted water sources to provide "plug and play" water supply guarantees for islands.

The ultrafiltration membrane used in the equipment has a large flux and strong anti-pollution ability. It is also equipped with an intelligent membrane cleaning system that can automatically adjust the cleaning program according to operating parameters, which can not only extend the service life of the membrane elements but also reduce maintenance costs.

Full scene coverage activates industrial water treatment value
Phuket, Thailand, receives more than 10 million tourists annually. Freshwater resource shortages, seawater backflow and other problems occur frequently. The existing water supply system is under great pressure, and water quality problems affect the tourist experience and residents' health. The two 25m³ containerized ultrafiltration water treatment equipment put into use this time will "transfuse blood" for Phuket's water supply system through diversified application scenarios.
Smart livelihood: build a direct drinking water system for 12 coastal villages, three-level purification to remove pollution, and help 30,000 islanders achieve "tap direct drinking";
Tourism infrastructure: treated desalinated seawater water is connected to the shower system of popular beaches such as Patong and Kata, meeting the shower needs of 20,000 people per day;
Ecological agriculture: remove more than 90% of algae and heavy metals from pond water, provide drip irrigation water for 200 acres of orchards, and improve the quality of special products such as mangosteen and durian.
Building a industrial water treatment ecological community
The project innovatively adopts the "technology export + local operation and maintenance" model. XJY trained 5 technicians for the Thai side and established a Sino-Thai joint laboratory to carry out tropical membrane technology research. In the next three years, this model will be replicated to 10 tourist islands such as Koh Samui and Koh Chang, and it is expected to reduce 5 million tons of concentrated brine discharge and 30% of water supply carbon emissions annually.
As the dry season approaches, the two devices are running at full capacity. French tourists praised the direct drinking water device in Karon Beach: "It is sweeter than the tap water in my hometown." This "blue revolution" from the East is writing a Chinese solution for sustainable development for global coastal tourist destinations.
This set of equipment was sent to Phuket, Thailand, not only for business cooperation, but also for transnational water resources protection.

In the future, XJY will deepen its roots in the field of water treatment, and contribute "Chinese wisdom" and "Chinese solutions" to water resources security in more regions around the world driven by innovative technologies, and write a new chapter in the international market.
