Maximizing Waste Gas Cleanup with Spray Tower

2024-08-24 14:55:44

1.Working principle

The waste gas is introduced into the purification tower through the air duct, passes through the packing layer, and the waste gas and the absorption liquid are fully contacted and absorbed by the gas-liquid two-phase neutralization reaction. After the waste gas is purified, it is dehydrated and defogged by the demister plate and then discharged into the atmosphere by the fan. The absorption liquid is pressurized by the water pump at the bottom of the tower and sprayed down at the top of the tower, and finally refluxed to the bottom of the tower for recycling. The emission requirements of the purified acid mist waste emission standard.

2.Features

      1.The equipment occupies a small area and is easy to install;

      2.The water and power consumption indicators are low;

      3.Corrosion-resistant, non-wear, and long service life;

      4.The equipment is reliable in operation and simple and convenient to maintain.

3.Structure

The packing layer in the spray tower is used as a mass transfer device for the contact components between the gas and liquid phases. A packing support plate is installed at the bottom of the packing tower, and the packing is placed on the support plate in a random pile. A packing pressure plate is installed above the packing to prevent it from being blown by the rising air flow. The spray tower spray liquid is sprayed from the top of the tower through the liquid distributor onto the packing and flows down along the surface of the packing. The gas is fed into the tower from the bottom, and after being distributed by the gas distribution device, it continuously passes through the gaps of the packing layer in countercurrent with the liquid. On the surface of the packing, the gas and liquid are in close contact for mass transfer. When the liquid flows downward along the packing layer, wall flow sometimes occurs. The wall flow effect causes the gas and liquid phases to be unevenly distributed in the packing layer, thereby reducing the mass transfer efficiency. Therefore, the packing layer in the spray tower is divided into two sections, and a redistribution device is set in the middle, and after redistribution, it is sprayed onto the lower packing.

4.Scope of use

The main waste gas treatment equipment used in acid and alkaline waste gas treatment can treat waste gas from chemical plants, rubber plants, paint spraying rooms, plastic plants and other places. It has the best treatment effect for harmful gases with impurities such as mineral dust, arsenic, selenium, fluorine, sulfur dioxide, etc. The treated waste gas is discharged from the top of the tower, and can be fully in contact with the gas in the packing layer to achieve the effect of purifying the treated gas. The main harmful gases treated by the scrubber are sulfuric acid mist, hydrochloric acid mist, chromic acid mist, nitric acid mist, phosphoric acid mist, hydrofluoric acid mist, hydrogen chloride, hydrogen fluoride, hydrogen sulfide, hydrogen cyanide and other waste gases from highly polluting industries. They are absorbed and purified to meet process requirements, and their effects are much better than those of traditional packed towers and plate towers. Applicable to industries and fields such as electroplating production, surface treatment, single crystal silicon pickling, semiconductor cleaning, electronic manufacturing, and coating production.
